Bloomer, a Filipino-Japanese illustrator and digital artist born in Hiroshima, Japan, found his artistic identity nurtured by this multicultural environment. From his Filipino heritage, he gained a deep sense of belonging to a vibrant community, its rich storytelling traditions resonating deeply with him. Simultaneously, his immersion in Japanese life served as a constant source of inspiration. Works like Mamoru Oshii's 'Ghost in the Shell' and Katsuhiro Otomo's 'Akira' became cornerstones of his childhood. These early influences ignited a deep passion for creating art that transcends the ordinary, where imagination and reality converge.Bloomer leverages his art as a platform for social awareness and self-discovery. His work encompasses film and TTRPG illustrations, alongside illustrations for political campaigns and fundraisers for the Lumad community— causes he cares about. Through his art, he explores themes on selfhood and belonging influenced by the worlds that shaped him.
