Name:  Misha Felix
Location: Antipolo, Philippines
Occupation: Freelance Illustrator and Experimental Animator
Media: Digital and Needle Felt
Dream Projects: A collection of needle felted sculptures and needle felted short stop motion animations

I've lived my whole life here in the Philippines until I moved to the States to take my undergrad at California College of the Arts, in San Francisco, with a BFA in Animation, focusing on Experimental Animation. After that, I volunteered as a production assistant for two independent stop motion animation films and had my thesis experimental animation film, Sunny Side Up, screened in places such as Finland, Oklahoma, and was chosen in Cardiff. Throughout, I’ve been taking up freelance work in illustration and graphic design, even starting up a small shop where I sell stickers, prints, and felt trinkets. Art was a means of celebrating and healing my inner child. In this I would weave sentimental objects into a statement of feeling, mood, and experience, bringing life into memories I can never come back to but only recreate in my contemporary state. Along with this, as I started developing more, I started embracing nonsensicality, not taking art too seriously and just having fun with it, making things purely to entertain myself.
